you've got a good grasp on how to make 3D animations. the movements here are simple, but effective, and it's really hard to tell that this was made by a beginning animator. i also love the 4:3 and compressed audio, it really makes this feel old and grimy, but in a good way

thanks!

holy shit this is impressive. the only thing i'd change would be the shading. because Link is in front of the fire, he should be casting a shadow towards the camera. but outside of that, this is really good

watching this made me think that i should probably use Newgrounds more, because i don't know how i haven't discovered you before.

seriously, this is some really good animation, keep it up!

J-AlanBaker responds:

Thanks :D

i kinda like this. i absolutely love the backgrounds, and the conversation between the mouse and the cockroach is pretty funny!

i love the pencil's design

kinda disappointing to see a regression in an artist.

your old animations were always fun and creative, being parodies combined with memes. it was the perfect combination of comedy and animation, and it was always great to watch.
however, you, like most animators, have stuck to doing parody animations, all while twisting and bending the original source material to such an extreme extent, that it's almost unrecognisable from the original source material. this is sad to see, because instead of using animation to tell unique stories and do what live-action can't, it's instead being used to gain attention from an already popular work of art, and only using jokes to fill out time.

moreover, the quality of your animations has degraded. in your earlier works, such as, 'Animal Crisis' the movements are quick, and snappy. a lot of inbetweens are used, and there is a real weight and feel to the characters, it really helped to elevate the comedy as well. now, you barely even use inbetweens, and most of the time they are tweened. worst part is, that most of the animation is done for the lip-syncing, using copy-pasted mouths. the only improvement in your animations, is adding squiggle-vision, which i do like, and i commend you for that.

as for this animation itself, it sucks. the voice acting is terrible, there is no life in it, and you're using the same voice for two different characters, which gives it a very shitty vibe to start off with. furthermore, the jokes in here are decent at best. only two jokes made me laugh, and those were the cum joke, and the 9/11 joke, which were funny to be honest. the other jokes on the other hand, are just nothing, because of the fact that no inbetweens are used, the movements aren't snappy and responsive, they come out of nowhere and have no weight, making the joke less funny. on another note, what the fuck does this have to do with the Legend of Zelda? you can quite literally, change out all of the names, and replace them with unique characters, and everything would work exactly the same. the 9/11 joke especially, can work with literally any other character, and isn't funny because it's Link crashing into the Twin Towers, it's funny because a guy checks his phone, realises it's 9/11, and then approaches the Twin Towers.

in conclusion, i hope you improve, and for the love of god, stop making parodies. please, make something original, you're trying to gain popularity from using a well known name, i beg of you to stop limiting yourself by making these unfunny, "parodies".

i really love these character designs

i remember loving this show back in the day, it sucks that they cancelled it before they could make a proper ending.

Yeah, it was definitely a dark day in tv history. Too bad we'll never learn how the divorce subplot would've ended.
